Senior Security Analyst (Markham)

Position Overview: *
We are looking for a Senior Security Analyst in the GTA. The Senior Security Analyst position will manage all operational applications, processes and technological capabilities needed to support the respective mobility infrastructure and inter-networking relationships as well as the required security operating practices. There is also a strong focus on fraud protection for Mobility services to ensure presence of adequate controls over network systems. You will be responsible for advising and assisting management to identify and treat the organization’s risks concerning fraud. You will proactively monitor for any anomalies in Xplore Mobile network by identifying technical gaps/weaknesses and fraudulent behavior. The role, as required, must also be capable of serving within a Serious Incident Response Team (SiRT) as called upon, to contribute or lead specific investigations.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Provide management with status updates, feedback and appropriate reporting on key achievements, risks and mitigation plans for the assigned projects and/or day-to-day activities.
  • Ensure effective working relationships with teams across the organization to reach full alignments and meet or exceed the objectives.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with the Customers by understanding the needs and develop the required plans to meet the expectation and deliver the best Customer Experience.
  • Initiate and participate in conference calls with vendors and contractors to speed up the systems implementation and lead the acceptance testing.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement by sharing best practices and guidelines with internal teams.
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Undergraduate degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Data Analysis, Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of information security consulting, advisory or training experience
  • 5+ years of relationship management and/or leadership experience
  • Previous experience in Data mining and or Fraud protection in the telecommunications industry is an asset
  • Document safeguarding experience
  • Experience working with Canadian Law Enforcement Agencies
  • Fluently bilingual - French and English (verbal and written) preferred
  • Must be able to work shifts. (days, evenings, overnights, week-ends, and statutory holidays)
  • Applicants with a background in legal, telecommunications, or law enforcement related programs are encouraged to apply
  • Must currently possess or be able to successfully obtain and maintain a federal government security clearance [Reliability/ Secret]
  • High degree of familiarity with mobility applications and systems like Cisco Digital Justice, Titan Edge, Net Number, HSS/HLR, Syniverse Analyzer, OpenMind, PCRF and Gemalto
  • MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerBI preferred
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and achieve goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communications and customer service skills
  • Professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Strict attention to detail
