V. J Rice Concrete Limited is a family owned and operated business located from HRM to the Western Shores of Nova Scotia. Since 1961 the company has been a manufacturer and producer of ready-mix concrete, landscaping and masonry products, concrete brick and block, concrete pipe, retaining walls, septic tanks, well rings, aggregates and much more.
We are currently seeking a heavy duty mechanic to be responsible for regular maintenance and service for ready mix trucks, loaders, forklifts and other mobile equipment.
Responsibilities:
-Regular fleet maintenance of heavy duty trucks and other mobile equipment;
-Maintain records of service and repair to equipment;
-Manage an inventory of parts and materials required for service to ensure uptime;
-Maintain a clean and organized work space;
-May be called on to troubleshoot/repair plant equipment
- Overtime as required
Qualifications:
-Red Seal Certified
-Valid License
-Able to work without supervision
-Good time management skills
-Team player
-Ability to lift up to 50lbs
-Reliable and Punctual
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
