Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and portioning fresh produce and other food items for daily service
- Assist with cooking tasks such as assembling dishes, following recipes, and ensuring proper presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station, including sanitizing surfaces and tools regularly
- Support food handling procedures in compliance with safety regulations to ensure quality and hygiene standards are met
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to keep the kitchen fully equipped for service
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely delivery of orders
- Follow all food safety protocols, including proper storage, labeling, and temperature controls
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food handling safety practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting ingredients or equipment
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization in the kitchen setting
