Reporting to the Operations Manager, Reman, the Operations Analyst is responsible for developing standards, processes, Key Performance Indicators and reports for measuring, trending and forecasting the operational requirements of SMS’s remanufacturing facilities. Responsibilities include:
Identifying, validating and consolidating stable information sources to create a performance dashboard specific to the remanufacturing operations cost center business model.
Work with the IT department to further develop an automated system of information gathering, reporting and analysis.
Develop and implement a system of operational KPI’s that serve as leading indicators for successful operational management.
Analyze the reports and trends to create strategic planning and solid fact based recommendations for the respective departments that lead to improved customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Compiles information from analysis and provides the information in a format suitable for use in PowerPoint presentations and documents used to establish direction and strategy for the operation.
Performs operational impact assessments for business variations/proposals that include, but are not limited to: Equipment sales, customer base changes, work stoppages, OEM involvement.
Performs market analysis for new product lines based on market potential, business volumes, organizational impact or customer support needs.
Create ad-hoc reports utilizing financial and statistical methods via various applications as required.
This position requires post-secondary education in a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Other qualifications include:
Minimum of 5 – 7 years related experience working in a remanufacturing setting and working with the Heavy Equipment industry is a requirement.
Must possess an extensive understanding of business requirements to ensure alignment to company objectives and policies.
Strong knowledge in parts and labor supply and distribution, transportation, policy and procedure as it relates to business operations and efficiencies.
Strong understanding of the OEM distribution model, requirements and expectations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel, and have a wide-ranging working knowledge of computer systems.
Able to consistently make intelligent decisions under pressure; possess good judgement, initiative, positive attitude and be dependable.
