ABOUT US
CFT Group is a growing Ottawa-based business group operating across scrap metal recycling, auto sales, trucking, self-storage, and real estate. As we expand, we regularly have heavy equipment, vehicles, and other assets available for resale — and we need a sharp, self-motivated salesperson to take full ownership of that process.
THE ROLE
You'll manage the full lifecycle of our used equipment and surplus asset sales — from listing to closing to removing sold items across all platforms. This role rewards people who are organized, professional, and hungry to perform. Top performers can expect to earn $75,000–$90,000+ annually through our quarterly performance bonus program.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Listing all surplus equipment for sale — excavators, buses, trucks, trailers, and more
- Managing active listings across all platforms (company website, Kijiji, Facebook Marketplace, equipment marketplaces, etc.)
- Answering inbound calls and making outbound calls to qualify buyers and close sales
- Coordinating equipment sales in the Toronto market
- Removing sold items from all platforms promptly and accurately
- Handling additional sales opportunities as they arise (used tires, parts, misc. inventory)
- Keeping detailed records of listings, inquiries, and completed sales
- Going above and beyond to represent CFT Group professionally at all times
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous experience in equipment sales, fleet remarketing, auto sales, or a related field
- Excellent phone presence — professional, responsive, and persuasive
- Highly organized and detail-oriented (nothing stays listed after it's sold)
- Comfortable managing multiple listing platforms simultaneously
- Self-starter who takes initiative without being asked
- Valid driver's licence
- Knowledge of heavy equipment, trucks, or automotive assets is a strong asset
COMPENSATION
Base Salary: $50,000 – $65,000/year (based on experience)
Quarterly Performance Bonus: Up to $6,250/quarter
- Sales performance & revenue generated (40%) — up to $2,500
- Professionalism & call handling (20%) — up to $1,250
- Listing accuracy & timeliness (20%) — up to $1,250
- Initiative & going above and beyond (20%) — up to $1,250
On-Target Earnings: $75,000 – $90,000+ annually
