O’Brien Road and Bridge is a 30 Year Highways Maintenance Contractor with shops on Haida Gwaii/Queen Charlotte Islands and in Prince Rupert.
OBR is currently seeking a Winter Driver for at its Haida Gwaii/Queen Charlotte Islands. The Winter Driver will be responsible for operating and salt trucks, snowplowing equipment & other related maintenance activities. A valid BC Driver’s License, Class 1 or 3, is required.

Removal of snow and ice by using snow removal and/or sanding equipment.

Completion of pre-trip and post trip inspections.

Safely operate snow plowing trucks and equipment.

Any other duties as required.

Minimum class 3 with air brake endorsement.

Previous snow plowing experience is preferred.

Clean drivers abstract.

Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors.

Working safely is a condition of employment.
