MindBeacon began with CBT Associates – a team of therapists including Psychologists and Psychological Associates practising across multiple locations in the Greater Toronto Area, and now providing virtual therapy through secure video or your favourite device!
BEACON was first introduced in 2016 as an in-clinic innovation to enhance delivery and measurement of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). We’re looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic and client-centered individual to join our company as a BEACON iCBT Psychologist - Assessor. Our iCBT therapist team works with BEACON users or clients to ensure they are supported during their treatment and their experience is optimized throughout our digital treatment platform.
Reporting into our Senior Clinical Director, this is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the e-therapy team! Located remotely, in British Columbia, and working with national colleagues, we strive to create a supportive and collaborative environment across teams and provinces!

An Overview of the Key Responsibilities:
Review online assessments completed by clients to guide your mental health assessment approach
Provide clients with mental health assessments over the phone to determine suitability for our BEACON platform
Create reports that outline clinical findings, impressions, and treatment recommendations which will guide the therapists in their treatment of the client
Be available to iCBT therapists for follow-up consultations relating to the assessment and prescribed treatment recommendations
Consult with Case Managers for Disability Management/Return-to-Work clients
Attend monthly call-in meetings with the clinical team
Contribute to a supportive and team-oriented working environment
Other duties as assigned
The Skills and Experience That Make You a Great Fit for Our Team:
Regulated healthcare professional with the ability to provide mental health assessments, such as a Master’s Degree or PhD in Clinical Psychology
Registered and in good standing with the applicable provincial college (proof of college registration will be required)
Proof of practice liability insurance
Excel at conceptualizing the needs of patients; eager to increase he efficiency of assessment, triage, clinical decision-making and reporting for mental health care
Experience using CBT to treat various mental health conditions in adults
Experience with, or willing to learn, disability management/return-to-work treatment
Strong written communication skills with the ability to write clear, concise and professional messages to support our clients
Proficient computer skills, with demonstrated ability to learn and work with new platforms
Access to a computer with appropriate password protection and internet capabilities
What Sets You Apart from the Crowd:
Bilingual; English and French (reading and writing), considered a strong asset!
Previous work experience in community and/or hospital settings
Comfortable diagnosing and completing assessments over the phone and online using an digital platform, and/or previous work experience using a digital platform to provide CBT
Registered, or willing to register, across multiple provinces
Identifying as an evidence-based, client-centered practitioner – believing in the improvement of resiliency, absenteeism, productivity and general wellness of Canadians using a digital therapy modality!
