Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and eager 310S Automotive Service Technician Apprentice to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the automotive trade while gaining hands-on experience under the guidance of licensed technicians.
As a 310S Apprentice, you will assist with the inspection, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of company vehicles to ensure they operate safely and reliably. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed technicians with routine maintenance and repairs on company vehicles.
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, brake servicing, fluid checks, and other preventative maintenance tasks.
- Assist in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and suspension issues using diagnostic equipment.
- Learn to inspect vehicles to ensure they meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Replace or repair vehicle components under the supervision of a licensed technician.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Properly use and care for shop tools and equipment.
- Accurately document maintenance and repair work completed.
- Participate in manufacturer and apprenticeship training as required.
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies and company procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support shop operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Registered as a 310S Automotive Service Technician Apprentice, or eligible and willing to register.
- Previous automotive repair experience (through employment, co-op, trade school, or personal projects) is considered an asset.
- Basic knowledge of automotive mechanical systems.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence (required).
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
