Tire Technician / Accessory InstallerCanada Custom Auto Works:
Canada Custom Auto Works is looking for a motivated and reliable Tire Technician / Accessory Installer to join our growing team in Calgary. This role is ideal for someone passionate about trucks, SUVs, wheels, tires, and aftermarket 4x4 accessories. We are looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced shop environment.
The successful candidate will assist with aftermarket wheel and tire installations, seasonal tire change-overs, balancing, flat repairs, and bolt-on accessory installations while helping maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Install aftermarket wheels and tires on cars, trucks, and SUVs
- Perform seasonal tire change-overs
- Mount, balance, and rotate tires
- Diagnose and repair flat tires
- Inspect tires and wheels for wear, damage, and proper fitment
- Install bolt-on accessories including:
- Mud flaps
- Running boards
- Fender flares
- Basic suspension accessories
- Lighting and exterior accessories
- Maintain proper torque specifications and safety procedures
- Assist with shop organization and cleanliness
- Move and store inventory including wheels and tires
- Help load and unload deliveries as required
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Work closely with sales staff and technicians to ensure quality installations
Qualifications
- Previous tire shop or automotive experience considered an asset
- Experience using tire machines and wheel balancers preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift heavy wheels and tires safely
- Strong attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license required
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Preferred Experience
Experience with any of the following is considered a strong asset:
- Lift and leveling kit installations
- Aftermarket wheel fitment knowledge
- TPMS service and programming
- Off-road and custom truck accessories
- Basic automotive repair knowledge
