The Department of Education and Early Childhood Education is seeking to fill a School Leadership Framework Consultant (CRC) position within the Continuous Improvement Branch (CIB). The Continuous Improvement Branch is responsible for strategic policy development, action planning, and sector engagement to advance continuous improvement in the Kindergarten to Grade 12 education system. The branch is responsible for the oversight and governance of the department’s accountability and assurance framework for school division planning and reporting and the provincial data and performance measurement strategy, including a public reporting framework to measure, monitor, and report on student success and well-being.
Duties:
This position oversees the provincial implementation of the Manitoba School Leadership Framework within the K to 12 Framework for Continuous Improvement, ensuring alignment with accountability and assurance frameworks. It coordinates with external stakeholders to support school leadership development and facilitates collaboration to meet departmental and government priorities in Kindergarten to Grade 12 education.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Master's degree in education with demonstrated school/divisional leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience in system, school/divisional planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting, with a sound knowledge of current, relevant and promising school leadership, teaching and assessment practices.
- Effective leadership and change management skills to support schools/divisions in highly effective planning and reporting in alignment with provincial priorities and initiatives.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate qualities of leadership and responsibility, critical thinking and sound judgement, working as a team member as well as independently.
- Excellent planning, facilitation and organizational skills; experience in the management of complex projects simultaneously; and the ability to deal with pressure and ambiguous situations.
- Highly developed understanding, sensitivity, leadership and responsiveness to the current realities of the K to 12 education system including, but not limited to: an understanding of the context related to French First Language and French Second Language education, Indigenous education and the advancement of Truth and Reconciliation, as well as inclusionary mindsets and practices in relation to pedagogy and culturally-safe learning environments.

- Must have a valid class 5 Manitoba Driver's license and be able to travel within Manitoba
