Job Description
Seden Centre is a Private ECS on the west-side of Sherwood Park serving the Edmonton area. In this position, you would as a valued member of an Inter-disciplinary team have the opportunity to learn from Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Special Educators.
We are looking for an individual that can implement differentiated programming for the needs of children (typically and developmentally-delayed) in a collaborative and respectful manner within a variety of settings. This position does include extensive preparation and is a supporting role for both therapeutic disciplines. The right candidate needs to be able to adapt to an emergent curriculum ‘on the fly’ and provide energy that encourages a positive team environment. We are looking for a teacher with commitment and dedication to ensure the children enrolled learn and grow as a direct result of the programming offered.
The applicant must have strong educational skills and the ability to attend to numerous details. The position requires the employee to have skills in working with young children aged 2.5 – 6.0 who exhibit mild to moderate behavioural disorders, speech disorders and developmental delays. Interested individuals must be willing to work directly with children whose behaviours are often complex and intense in nature.
