About the Role
We are seeking a high-performing Sales Manager to lead our heavy equipment and parts sales division. You will drive revenue growth, manage key accounts, and lead a dedicated sales team. This role requires an industry expert who understands machinery lifecycles, procurement, and parts distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Sales Strategy: Develop and execute strategic plans to expand our market share in heavy equipment and parts sales.
- Lead the Team: Mentor, train, and manage a high-performing sales team to meet and exceed monthly and annual targets.
- Manage Key Accounts: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with major construction, mining, and agricultural clients.
- Oversee Inventory & Parts: Collaborate with inventory teams to ensure parts availability aligns with market demand and sales forecasts.
- Analyze Market Trends: Monitor competitor activity, industry trends, and pricing structures to keep our offerings competitive.
Required Qualifications
- Industry Expertise: Deep, comprehensive knowledge of various types of heavy equipment (earthmoving, material handling, cranes, etc.) and their respective components/parts.
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of successful sales management experience specifically within the heavy machinery or industrial equipment sector.
- Leadership: Strong track record of leading sales teams, forecasting revenue, and managing high-value budgets.
- Negotiation Skills: Exceptional communication and closing skills with corporate executives and fleet managers.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent field experience).
