Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and licensed Truck Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive repair, heavy equipment maintenance, and industrial machinery. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of trucks and heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. The Licensed Truck Mechanic will utilize a broad range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills to support our fleet and machinery operations. Candidates with dealership experience, familiarity with excavators, cranes, Caterpillar equipment, forklifts, farm machinery, HVAC systems, welding capabilities, and proficiency with schematics are highly preferred. This position offers an opportunity to work with diverse machinery in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on trucks and heavy equipment using hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and system checks
- Repair and service industrial equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery
- Utilize schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical components effectively
- Operate heavy machinery for testing purposes when necessary
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Assist in the assembly and installation of new equipment or parts as needed
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrication when required
- Support customer service efforts by providing technical advice and updates on repair status
Qualifications
- Valid license as a Truck or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
- Proven experience in automotive repair or heavy machinery maintenance; dealership experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately
- Experience operating industrial equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or other heavy machinery
- Capable of performing heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
