A busy and growing medical clinic in Airdrie, Alberta is currently seeking a qualified and professional **Medical Office Assistant (MOA)** to join our healthcare team. This opportunity is available immediately for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
* Welcome and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner.
* Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
* Maintain accurate patient records and medical documentation.
* Process referrals, laboratory requisitions, and medical correspondence.
* Answer telephone inquiries and respond to patient concerns.
* Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
* Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
* Perform general administrative and clerical duties as required.
Qualifications
* Completion of a recognized **Medical Office Assistant (MOA) Certificate or Diploma Program** from an accredited Canadian institution.
* Knowledge of Canadian healthcare administration practices and medical office procedures.
* Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is considered an asset.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong computer and administrative skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Preferred Certifications and Requirements
* Medical Office Assistant (MOA) Certificate or Diploma from a recognized Canadian educational institution.
* Current CPR/First Aid Certification (asset).
* Familiarity with Alberta Health Services (AHS) processes and provincial healthcare regulations (asset).
* Previous experience in a medical clinic, family practice, or healthcare setting is preferred.
Compensation
Salary and compensation package will be **discussed during the interview process** and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
