DUTIES: The Data Analyst provides data and analytic support to College of the North Atlantic's Office of Institutional Research (IR). Duties are of a multifaceted, complex, analytical nature with respect to data management and the reporting of institutional data. This individual will conduct high level analysis of institutional metrics (e.g. enrolment statistics and trending, retention, graduate employment rates, etc); define and coordinate research methodologies; construct and oversee complex and large scale institutional research projects; lead multi-disciplinary team projects; consult with key stakeholders on requirements for data/information; develop and deliver planning and/or training sessions on IR related projects; and act as departmental super user of PeopleSoft and SharePoint. The Data Analyst will also prepare survey instruments; gather, compile, and analyze research data; present data in written, tabular, pictorial, and graphic form; prepare clear and comprehensive organizational dashboards and reports; and conduct routine data quality audits. Other duties related to data and information management may be required.
SCREENING CRITERIA:
- Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science, and/or Data Analysis (equivalencies will be considered)
- Strong skillset in data science and information management practices
- Experience in a post-secondary institutional research and/or prior experience working with survey development platforms such as Explorance Blue Evaluations – asset
ASSESSMENT CRITERIA:

SALARY: CG36- $61,042.80 - $68,122.60 per annum
