UNITI Partner - Semiahmoo House Society, a non-profit organization located in South Surrey/White Rock, is dedicated to providing high-quality community-based services for people with developmental disabilities.
Purpose of the Role
To support all aspects of donor engagement by coordinating communications, stewardship, and recognition activities. The role contributes to building a strong, loyal donor base that sustains the Foundation’s programs and services.
Responsible for building and sustaining meaningful relationships with donors to support the Foundation’s mission and strategic priorities. This role enhances donor experience through thoughtful communication, stewardship activities, and engagement initiatives that foster long-term support and community connection.
Qualifications
- Diploma (from a recognized university or college) in Community Development, Project Management, Marketing or Social Sciences, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum one to three years of demonstrated community involvement and development
- A strong commitment to ensuring that the rights of people with developmental disabilities and other stigmas, living and working in the community are protected and respected.
- Knowledge of the challenges experienced by individuals who face barriers and possible discrimination
- Non-judgmental and genuine positive attitudes towards all community members;
- Excellent oral, written, facilitation and interpersonal communication skills in English;
- Comfort in calling and engaging with donors and communicating in warm, natural tone;
- Excellent organization, detail oriented, problem solving and creative thinking skills;
- Familiarity with donor databases and basic understanding of marketing
- Clear ability to work effectively with program staff, volunteers and non-profit, for-profit or publicly funded groups, agencies or organizations;
- Knowledge of the local community – South Surrey/Whie Rock;
- Excellent time management with ability to manage multiple small projects at once.
- Solid computer skills and social media literacy including use of Microsoft Office, Canva, CRM Systems, Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
- Class 5 driver’s license, acceptable driving record, business insurance and daily access to and use of their own vehicle suitable for transporting the person and clients within the Lower Mainland of B.C.
- A clean and current Criminal Record Check
- A strong desire to function as part of the staff team of UNITI partners.

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
