Job Description: Saratoga Beach Golf Club is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as Line Cook/Prep Cook in our custom built commercial kitchen. The successful candidate will be expected to open and close the business at start and end of day, work independently or as a team, assist with prep and cooking, while dealing with customers and purchase transactions on a demand basis. The job will include but not limited to compliance with Food Safe, events, inventory, and more. Our team concept promotes success and there is room for flexibility and bringing your own ideas to expand and grow. If you have an appetite for events, the possibilities are endless.
Responsibilities:
-Start of day and open for service, end of day and close service.
-Work independently or as a team.
-Assist with day-to-day operations of the food truck commercial kitchen, including supporting staff members, and ensuring efficient service during peak hours.
-Execute food service for events, tournaments, and special occasions, ensuring timely and professional delivery of food.
-Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and minimizing waste.
-Assist with maintenance of cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for staff and customers.
-Handle cash transactions with accuracy and integrity, maintaining financial records and assisting with cash outs where required
-Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
-Previous experience in food service or a related field, with a track record of success.
-Organizational and time management skills, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
-Ability to work independently and execute
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices, with certification in Food Safe Level 1 (minimum)
-Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
-Passion for providing exceptional dining experiences, with a focus on customer satisfaction, quality and high level execution
-Knowledge and experience in handling cash transactions and cash outs would be considered an asset but not required
