Take the lead with GEF Seniors Housing, the largest provider of subsidized seniors’ housing in Alberta and a dedicated registered charity. We are passionate about supporting the quality of life for seniors in every facet of our operations, and we are searching for a like-minded professional to fill our Portfolio Manager role.
Reporting to the Vice-President, Housing & Client Services, the Portfolio Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and the portfolio team, ensuring that the organization’s Mission, Vision, Values and Quality of Life Philosophy are reflected in the delivery of services and the development and nurturing of relationships with residents, tenants, staff, families, and partner agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, foster, and oversee resident and tenant relations.
- Manage day-to-day operations and service delivery, ensuring alignment with the organization’s Quality of Life Philosophy.
- Support the implementation of organization-wide initiatives at the portfolio and site level.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external to GEF.
- Manage the financial performance of the portfolio.
- Provide effective team leadership, coaching, supervision and performance management while fostering a collaborative and respectful work environment.
- Champion and actively participate in the organization’s Health, Safety, and Wellness Program.
- Ensure portfolio's compliance with all relevant legislations, regulations and standards.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor Degree (a diploma with related experience may be considered).
- PC proficiency, finance/budgeting.
- Supervisory skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse workforce across various management levels.
- Demonstrated conflict resolution and problem-solving capabilities.
- Knowledge of seniors housing industry is an asset.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle and submit a copy the driver's license upon request.
- Must have ability to flex hours of work for some evening and weekend.
Details: Full time, Days, 37.50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 4:00PM, Evening or weekend hours as required.
Pay Scale: Commensurate with education and experience.
Locations: GEF Locations throughout Edmonton. (travel between sites is required, mileage paid)
