Compensation range: $23-$29 Hourly CAD
The Compensation Range includes the span between the minimum and maximum base salary. The midpoint of the range is approximately halfway between the minimum and the maximum base salary and can be considered for an employee with full job knowledge, required qualifications and experience for the position.

Organizational Status
We are currently looking forward to welcoming a Part Time, Nail Technician Instructor. You will be part of our fantastic team and report directly to the Director of Academics. You’ll be part of a team of experienced and passionate people who believe in continuous development and work hard behind the scenes to help its students thrive in Canada. As a Nail Technician/Cosmetology Instructor, you should be up-to-date with the latest trends in the beauty industry. You should also have relevant experience in this area of work and excellent teaching skills. Your ability to remain calm in stressful situations will be beneficial.
Job responsibilities:
- Able to train and teach students various cosmetology techniques.
- Able to prepare course curriculum and lesson plans and schedule classroom activities
- Able to provide students with both theoretical and practical cosmetology sessions.
- Develop and prepare supplement materials to enhance textbook lessons
- Develop and prepare tests to evaluate student performance, grade record individual scores
- Arranging for stock supplies and ensuring safe handling of chemicals during practical sessions.
- Able to review and grade students on the basis of their performance.
- Ensure adherence to the assigned course budget.
- Provide classroom and laboratory instruction to students.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of performance
- Maintain and submit all required paperwork in a neat, accurate and timely fashion, including but not limited to class rosters, registration forms, pay sheets, attendance forms and grade rosters
- Oversee the implementation of policies and procedures related to the required teaching area and in accordance with PTIB policies and guidelines
Knowledge of:
- Classroom and laboratory instructional techniques and procedures
- Principles and procedures of academic and instructional techniques and procedures
- Current trends, research and development in the area of assignment
- Principles and techniques involved in test development and administration
Supervision Received
Works independently and in collaboration with the Director of Academics, Coordinator, Business and Industry. The performance is evaluated for efficiency, effectiveness, achievement of objectives, and quality of work.
Supervision Given
None, however, may provide general training/explain the work sequences to new team members.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equilant.
- Current and valid Cosmetology Teacher’s License or Nail Technician Teacher’s License
- Additional certification and license as a Cosmetology Instructor is mandatory
- 3-5 years of work experience as a Cosmetologist or a Cosmetology Instructor in reputed educational institute
- Complete knowledge of the various cosmetology techniques and technologies
- Familiarity with the latest trends in the beauty industry
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent teaching and presentation skills
- Having calm composure and good listening abilities
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Good leadership skills
- Highly motivated and creative individual
- Proficiency in manicure and pedicure services, including nail shaping, cuticle care, and polish application.
- Ability to perform various nail art techniques, such as gel, acrylic, and dip powder applications, as well as intricate nail designs.
- Knowledge of proper sanitation procedures and infection control to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Familiarity with different nail products, tools, and equipment, and the ability to recommend suitable products to clients.
- Precision in nail shaping, polishing, and design to achieve high-quality results.
