Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper/Cook to join our culinary team. This role involves assisting with food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients for various dishes
- Cook and prepare meals according to established recipes and standards
- Serve food efficiently and courteously to guests or customers
- Handle food safely by following proper hygiene and sanitation procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
- Support the kitchen team in meal assembly and plating
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers in compliance with safety regulations
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety standards are met
Skills
- Experience in serving, food preparation, and cooking within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations
- Strong skills in meal preparation and food service operations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively
- Kitchen experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
