About the Role
We are looking for a dependable Class 1 Driver to complete local deliveries between our greenhouse facilities and grocery distribution centers throughout the Lower Mainland.
This is a dedicated night shift position. Drivers work five shifts per week on a rotating schedule that operates Monday through Sunday, with two consecutive days off each week.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation
- Safely operate a Class 1 tractor-trailer.
- Complete scheduled local deliveries and pickups.
- Transport fresh produce between greenhouse sites and customer distribution centers.
Loading & Unloading
- Load and unload refrigerated trailers.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
- Secure loads to ensure safe transportation.
Product Quality
- Maintain cold chain requirements.
- Handle fresh produce carefully to prevent damage.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Documentation
- Complete Bills of Lading (BOLs), driver logs, and delivery paperwork.
- Communicate with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers regarding deliveries.
Safety
- Follow all company safety policies and transportation regulations.
- Maintain a clean, professional vehicle.
- Represent Perpetual Vegetable Co. professionally at all customer locations.

✅ Qualifications
- Valid BC Class 1 Driver's License
- Clean Driver's Abstract
- Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred
- Experience with refrigerated freight is an asset
- Forklift experience is an asset
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Eligible to work in Canada
