Geri Healthcare Solutions is committed to delivering exceptional, culturally aligned, and resident‑centered care across our partner Long‑Term Care Homes. We are seeking dedicated and professional Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our care team and support safe, high‑quality clinical care for residents.
RPNs play a vital role in maintaining resident safety, dignity, and well‑being while ensuring compliance with the College of Nurses of Ontario standards and all LTC regulatory requirements.
Clinical Care & Safety
- Provide safe, competent nursing care in accordance with CNO standards and LTC policies.
- Complete and document assessments, medications, and treatments.
- Monitor resident health status and respond promptly to changes.
- Maintain accurate, timely charting and documentation.
- Follow all IPAC protocols and support clinical programs (falls, skin integrity, pain).
- Contribute to developing and updating individualized care plans.
Team Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with PSWs, RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Provide clear guidance and support to PSWs during care delivery.
- Participate in care conferences, shift huddles, and team meetings.
- Communicate professionally with families and healthcare partners.
Resident‑Centered Care
- Build respectful, supportive relationships with residents and families.
- Promote resident independence, preferences, and individualized routines.
- Support comfort, emotional well‑being, and meaningful engagement.
- Advocate for resident needs and ensure concerns are addressed promptly.
Compliance & Professional Standards
- Adhere to LTC legislation, home policies, and safety procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical nursing practice.
- Participate in ongoing training, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Practical Nursing Diploma
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Recent Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Up‑to‑date immunizations, TB test, and mask‑fit
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical‑thinking skills
- Compassionate, reliable, and committed to resident‑centered care
- Experience in Long‑Term Care or Retirement setting is an asset
- Cantonese and/or Mandarin speaker an asset
