Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Event Coordinator to oversee the planning and execution of various events. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills, with experience in Banquet halls , restaurant, or hotel industries being a plus. This role involves collaborating with clients, vendors, and team members to ensure seamless event experiences that meet or exceed expectations. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and delivering exceptional guest services.
Duties
- Coordinate all aspects of event planning from initial concept through execution, including venue selection, catering, décor, and entertainment arrangements.
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored event solutions.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to secure the best terms and services.
- Upsell additional services or enhancements to maximize event success and client satisfaction.
- Oversee setup, execution, and breakdown of events to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing attendee inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote events through various channels and increase attendance.
- Manage time efficiently to meet deadlines and coordinate multiple events simultaneously.
- Maintain detailed organizational records related to event planning activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in event planning, hospitality, restaurant, or hotel industries preferred.
- Strong marketing skills with the ability to promote events effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Proficiency in upselling and negotiation techniques to enhance event offerings.
- Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and multitasking capabilities.
- Ability to manage budgets efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
- Experience in time management to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and practices is a plus.
