Position Overview
This hybrid role combines front desk responsibilities with hands-on support in the clinic. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring a smooth client experience while assisting the veterinary team with daily operations and patient care.
Responsibilities
Client Service & Reception Duties
- Welcome clients and patients in a warm and professional manner
- Manage incoming phone calls, emails, and appointment requests
- Schedule appointments and coordinate daily bookings
- Process payments, prepare invoices, and maintain accurate client records
- Assist with administrative and organizational tasks to support clinic operations
Veterinary Assistant Duties
- Support veterinarians and technicians during appointments and treatments
- Safely restrain and comfort animals during examinations and procedures
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness throughout the clinic
- Clean and sterilize equipment and treatment areas
- Restock supplies and assist with general clinic upkeep
- Ensure patient care areas follow sanitation and safety standards
Qualifications
We are seeking someone who:
- Has previous experience in a veterinary clinic, animal care, and customer service environment
- Demonstrates a genuine passion for animal health and client care
- Communicates clearly and professionally with clients and team members
- Works well both independently and as part of a team
- Can stay organized and composed in a busy environment
- Is comfortable learning clinic software and handling administrative tasks
- Is able to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with animal handling when needed
- Has flexibility to work 10-11 hours 4days a week with opening and closing duties.
