Working as a Room Attendant for our Wyndham Grand Fallsview hotel, you will be responsible for performing routine duties in cleaning and servicing of guestrooms under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor. Room Attendants promote a positive image of the property to guests and therefore must be pleasant, honest, friendly and should also be able to address guest requests and problems.
Duties
- Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting and rearranging the room after guests check out
- Report and return any guest properties found in the rooms while rendering service
- Work with a team of housekeepers on each shift
- Clean, disinfect and store all equipment at the end of the shift
- Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests
- Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day
- Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
- Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
The qualifications for this position are as follows:
- Previous Housekeeping experience preferred
- Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays
- Maintaining high standards of professionalism, ethics, and attitude towards guests and hotel associates at all times
- Excellent problem solving, and communication skills
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills
