Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical vehicle problems.
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake service, and fluid checks.
- Repair or replace engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, braking, and electrical components.
- Use diagnostic equipment and computerized tools.
- Complete vehicle inspections and recommend necessary repairs.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Explain repair needs clearly to service advisors and customers.
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
- Perform road tests when required to confirm repairs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic.
- Automotive service certification or relevant trade-school training.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift heavy parts and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality workmanship.
