Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Manager of Janitorial Services to oversee daily cleaning operations and ensure our facilities are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and presentation. This role is responsible for supervising janitorial staff, coordinating schedules, monitoring service quality, managing supplies and equipment, and supporting a positive experience for employees, visitors, and clients. The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to lead a team in a fast-paced service environment.
Responsibilities
· Plan, organize, supervise, and evaluate daily janitorial operations across assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, common spaces, and other facility areas.
· Lead, train, coach, and schedule janitorial staff to ensure duties are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
· Conduct regular inspections to monitor cleanliness, identify service gaps, and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly.
· Ensure staff follow proper cleaning procedures, safe work practices, chemical handling guidelines, and equipment-use protocols.
· Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, PPE, and equipment, and coordinate ordering or replenishment as required.
· Respond professionally to service concerns, special cleaning requests, and operational issues as they arise.
· Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged equipment, or facility issues to the appropriate personnel.
· Support waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with site expectations.
· Maintain basic records related to schedules, inspections, supply usage, incidents, and completed work.
Requirements
· Previous experience in janitorial services, commercial cleaning, facilities maintenance, or a related supervisory role is preferred.
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, guide, and motivate a cleaning team.
· Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, sanitation practices, and workplace safety procedures.
· Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming facilities.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage schedules.
· Clear communication skills and the ability to work professionally with staff, management, and site contacts.
· Ability to work independently, solve problems proactively, and remain dependable during assigned shifts.
· Physical ability to perform and support cleaning duties, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting as required.
