Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper cleaning procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and surrounding areas to meet health and safety standards.
- Assist in organizing and storing clean items in designated areas for easy access by kitchen staff.
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when needed, including handling food items safely.
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling and sanitation practices.
- Ensure timely cleaning during peak hours to support efficient kitchen operations.
- Assist with waste disposal and recycling procedures as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and sanitation standards within a commercial kitchen setting is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
