Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest services, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently, and a passion for the food industry. Prior restaurant experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure success in this role.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist in food preparation when necessary and support kitchen staff as needed
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, tables, and service stations in accordance with sanitation standards
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for order entry and cashiering
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Excellent time management to handle multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation and cash handling
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and attentiveness
- Good communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and interact positively with guests
- Familiarity with food industry standards, serving techniques, and upselling strategies
