About the Role
As Café Supervisor, you'll be the heartbeat of daily café operations. You'll lead from the floor, support your team, prepare high-quality beverages, and make sure every guest feels welcomed, cared for, and excited to return.
What You'll Do
Create Exceptional Guest Experiences
Deliver warm, engaging, and professional service.
Craft high-quality coffee and beverages with consistency and care.
Share product knowledge and recommendations with confidence.
Help create memorable moments for guests visiting Squamish Canyon.
Lead and Support Your Team
Act as the on-shift leader and key point of support.
Coach, mentor, and encourage team members to excel.
Assist with onboarding and training new baristas.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and energetic workplace culture.
Keep Operations Running Smoothly
Maintain clean, organized, and efficient workspaces.
Support inventory management, ordering, and restocking.
Operate POS systems accurately and confidently.
Assist with cash handling and daily reconciliations.
Ensure all opening and closing procedures are completed to a high standard.
What You'll Bring
- 1-2+ years of food & beverage experience in a fast-paced café environment.
- Strong espresso-based beverage preparation and basic machine maintenance skills.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stay calm, organized, and positive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- FOODSAFE Level 1, Serving It Right, or OFA Level 1 certification would be an asset.
- Coffee equipment maintenance experience preferred but not essential.
Work Environment
- Full-time, year-round role with flexible availability for early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Fast-paced, guest-focused café environment.
- Primarily indoor café work with occasional support for outdoor events and activations.
