Role Overview:
We are looking for a driven Business Development Representative to generate and qualify new leads for our sales team. You will research potential clients, initiate contact, and cultivate relationships to expand our portfolio of organizations that book keynote speakers. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, an aptitude for research, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential clients that meet our criteria (organizations with event budgets, annual event cycles, etc.).
- Conduct outreach via phone, email, and social media to introduce our speakers and services.
- Maintain accurate records of all activities in Salesforce, cross-referencing existing data and ensuring no overlaps.
- Set up meetings between qualified leads and senior agents for further engagement and pitch discussions.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to contribute to lead generation campaigns and list-building.
- Develop and manage your outreach cadence
- Utilize tools like email campaigns and BombBomb videos to enhance outreach efforts.
- Maintain a consistent outreach volume (30+ calls and 30-50 emails daily).
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a business development, sales, or client-facing role.
- Strong research skills with the ability to identify and connect with decision-makers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a persuasive and engaging style.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools like Salesforce is an asset.
- Intellectual curiosity and a passion for learning about our speakers and their industries.
