Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic logistics and distribution team. This role involves handling various warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and heavy equipment operation. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, mechanical knowledge, and familiarity with warehouse management systems. This position offers an opportunity to work with heavy machinery such as forklifts, cranes, and reach trucks in a fast-paced environment focused on efficiency and safety.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse
- Perform order picking and packing to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring proper documentation and inventory updates using systems like AS400 or warehouse management software
- Load and unload materials safely using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Maintain accurate inventory records through order fulfillment and stock management
- Assist in warehouse organization and housekeeping to promote a safe working environment
- Support manufacturing or construction-related tasks as needed, utilizing mechanical skills for equipment maintenance or assembly
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse operations and improve workflow efficiency
Requirements
- Proven warehouse experience with knowledge of warehouse distribution processes
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, or similar inventory software
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience with shipping & receiving procedures, order picking, packaging, and load & unload operations
- Construction or manufacturing experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order fulfillment tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
- Relevant certifications for crane operation or forklift licensing are preferred but not mandatory
Pay: $16.10-$24.27 per hour
