A current annual certificate of competency with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Able to function to the full scope of practice as per CNO
Medication Certificate and experience with administration of medication within the last year required
Previous experience working in an acute medical/surgical setting with sound patient care nursing skills (IV therapy, wound care, etc.)
Patient physical assessment course required
Experience with patient centred and partnership care models
Experience working in a Float Pool preferred
Must have effective interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem solving skills
Reliable and flexible individual who is willing to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team environment
Positive attendance and work record essential
Working as a member of an inter-professional team to ensure high quality care
Responsible for the provision of nursing care, teaching and coaching to patients and their families
Responsible and accountable for the provision of nursing care in accordance with the standards of nursing practice and THC Best Practice Protocols
Reports to the Manager, Access and Flow
As a member of the Staffing Office Team, you will be scheduled to work on a variety of units (Mississauga primarily)
