Macadam Construction is a Halifax based construction company that is involved in developing large civil projects from subdivisions to commercial plazas.
We are looking to hire a skilled and motivated Full-Time Foreperson to lead and supervise our crews by coordinating and overseeing construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines.
The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with hands-on experience in construction, road building, foundations, and earthwork.

Responsibilities:
- Provide clear direction to crew members to achieve project objectives.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, that promotes teamwork, professional growth and skill development.
- Coordinate and schedule construction activities and the delivery of needed materials to ensure efficient project execution.
- Monitor work sites and ensure tasks are completed on time and in compliance with project specifications, industry codes and standards.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting regular meetings and inspections.
- Oversee the use and maintenance of construction equipment, tools, and machinery.
- Work proactively, identify challenges, solutions and maintain clear communication with project managers regarding project status, challenges, and progress.
- Keep accurate records of daily construction activities, including work completed, materials used, and labour hours.
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner during client interactions.
