Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Spanish Speaking Home Support Worker to provide essential assistance to clients in their homes. This role involves delivering personalized care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with disabilities, or individuals requiring hospice or dementia care. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Administer medications accurately according to care plans
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and comfortable living space
- Support clients with activities that promote independence and well-being
- Assist with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals or family members
- Follow care plans meticulously and document services provided
Qualifications
- Fluent in Spanish with excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English
- Prior experience in assisted living, home care, nursing home, senior care, hospice care, or working with individuals with disabilities is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, medication administration, and patient care best practices is advantageous
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards clients of all ages and backgrounds
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in caregiving tasks
- Valid driver’s license is a plus for transportation needs but not mandatory
- Certification in caregiving or related fields is beneficial but not required
