We are pleased to announce the following employment opportunity as part of our on-going commitment to grow the business provided by SCI Group Inc. We have multiple anticipatory Commercial driver openings for “G” class Driver’s in the greater National Capitol Region.
SHIFT: Monday to Friday 7am-3:30pm
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must have flexible schedule; hours of work will vary depending on volume and customer requirements
- Perform loading and unloading of vehicles, processing and delivery of items, while maintaining predetermined courier schedules
- Proficiency in reading schedules, addresses and standard operating procedures
- Ability to operate our scanning software/scanners
- Interact directly with end customers in French and English
- Communicate with the customer and dispatch and complete paperwork in a timely manner
- Other related duties as required
- Delivering and recovering mail, staffing a mail office, metering mail and arranging courier pick ups
- Keeping detailed ledgers and records of mail items
QUALIFICATIONS
- Secret II clearance required
- Criminal Record Check
- Credit Record validation (R5 or better)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Valid “G” class Driver’s license
- Strong customer service skills
- Some lifting and walking required
- Working in all exterior weather conditions
- Bilingualism is an asset
- Keen sense of initiative and take ownership of tasks
- Ability to multitask under pressure
- Demonstrated Ability to work in a team situation or on your own with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated excellent Attendance (Attendance Management Policy)
- Excellent Visual Accuracy skills
- Demonstrated ability to work overtime to complete daily tasks and willingness to work flexible hours for replacement purposes
- Basic to Intermediate computer knowledge (Microsoft; Outlook, Excel etc.)
