What is the opportunity?

The RBC Dominion Securities Pointe-Claire branch is looking for an Associate Advisor / Associate Wealth Advisor to join a team in maintaining, developing and growing a Portfolio Manager’s business by providing clients exceptional service in an efficient and professional manner. The ideal candidate should have at least three years’ experience in the investment field working as an associate and be fully IIROC licensed.

What will you do?

  • Meet with newly acquired clients to guide them through the onboarding process
  • Develop a relationship manager role status with existing clients, being capable of discussing current market and economic conditions in relation to their investment portfolios
  • Participate in insurance planning meetings with existing clients and Portfolio Manager
  • Participate in Will and Estate planning meetings with existing clients and Portfolio Manager
  • Participate in financial planning meetings (discovery and presentation) with existing clients and Portfolio Manager
  • Maintain, service and build existing client relationships through both telephone conversations and meetings with existing clients
  • Initiate and participate in RBC referral meetings with existing clients
  • Develop, maintain and meet RBC referral partnerships with RBC partners including Private Bankers, Commercial Bankers, Financial Planners and Investment and Retirement Planners
  • Support the team with some administrative duties in the opening and management of client accounts

Must-have

  • Great communication skills in English and French
  • Exceptional client service skills
  • Strong knowledge of current market and economic conditions
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Drive, ambition, focus and ability to multi-task
  • CSC and CPH
  • Post-secondary education
Nice-to-have

  • MBA, CFA, CIM or IQPF
