Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter Helper to assist our painting team in residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in construction painting, restoration, and related trades. The ideal candidate will support the lead painters by preparing surfaces, handling tools, and ensuring the smooth execution of painting tasks while adhering to safety standards and project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Assist with surface preparation including sanding, masking, and caulking to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Support the application of paint, stain, or coatings on various surfaces using hand tools and power tools
- Help with rigging and scaffolding setup to access high or difficult-to-reach areas safely
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project requirements
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
- Assist with the use of hand tools, power tools, and scaffolding equipment during painting operations
- Support carpentry tasks related to framing or minor repairs as needed for restoration projects
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project specifications are met efficiently
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on-site
Requirements
- Prior experience or familiarity with construction, restoration, or industrial painting is a plus but not required
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings preferred
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
- Good time management skills to meet project deadlines
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Experience with caulking, rigging, carpentry, or working with schematics is advantageous
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are preferred but not mandatory
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills in residential and commercial painting projects

Pay: $18.19-$32.71 per hour
