Join Equipment World's Rental Division as a Warehouse Associate and Driver, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring our rental equipment is organized, well-maintained, and ready for customers. From forklifts and generators to aerial lifts and skid-steers, you’ll handle, inspect, and prepare a variety of equipment to support our customers’ needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Handling: Assist with retrieving, loading, and unloading equipment.
- Inspection & Maintenance: Conduct pre-delivery inspections and test equipment functionality before and after rentals. Perform post-rental inspections, document damages, and coordinate repairs with the service department.
- Customer Support: Provide equipment orientations for operators as needed. Respond to customer inquiries, maintain strong relationships, and resolve issues effectively.
- Warehouse & Yard Maintenance: Keep the warehouse and yard clean and organized, including snow removal from entrances and walkways. Track inventory and ensure all equipment is properly prepared and presented.
- Transportation & Safety: Drive trucks, trailers, and tow-behind vehicles to deliver equipment, adhering to CVOR procedures. Ensure proper loading and secure tie-downs for safe transport. Participate actively in health and safety initiatives for yourself and the team.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and perform tasks requiring physical endurance.
- Mechanical Knowledge: Familiarity with large and small equipment is a strong asset.
- Driving Experience: Previous commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to Detail: Experience in handling freight and conducting equipment inspections.
Compensation:
- Starting wage: $20–$24/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
