We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector / CMM Programmer to join our growing afternoon shift team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a modern manufacturing environment where quality is the foundation of everything we build.
What You'll Do
As a member of our Quality Department, you will play a key role in ensuring every component leaving our facility meets customer expectations and industry standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
Program, operate, and maintain Hexagon Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) using PC-DMIS software.
Develop and optimize CMM inspection programs for new and existing production parts.
Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections.
Verify dimensional accuracy of precision-machined components to engineering drawings and customer specifications.
Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements.
Report to Quality Manager
Conduct inspections using:
Hexagon CMM
Micrometers
Calipers
Height Gauges
Bore Gauges
Thread Gauges
Surface Finish Equipment
Precision Inspection Equipment
Review material certifications and manufacturing documentation.
Generate inspection reports and maintain quality records.
Investigate non-conforming products and support corrective actions.
Collaborate with Engineering, CNC Machinists, Production, and Project Management to resolve quality issues.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of Quality Inspection experience within a precision machining environment.
Minimum 3 years of Hexagon CMM programming experience using PC-DMIS.
Strong knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
Experience inspecting tight-tolerance CNC machined components.
Excellent understanding of precision measuring equipment.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards.
