About the Role
We are looking for an organized, friendly, and dependable Automotive Service Advisor to be the main point of contact between our customers and service technicians. In this role, you will listen to customer concerns, explain recommended repairs and maintenance clearly, prepare estimates, schedule service work, and keep customers informed throughout the repair process.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers professionally, making them feel welcomed and gather accurate information about vehicle concerns.
- Create repair orders and communicate customer needs clearly to technicians.
- Prepare and explain service estimates, repair options, timelines, and completed work.
- Provide regular updates to customers regarding vehicle status, additional findings, or changes in cost or timing.
- Schedule service appointments and help manage shop workflow efficiently.
- Review service history and recommend maintenance based on manufacturer guidelines and customer needs.
- Handle customer questions or concerns with patience, professionalism, and a solution-focused approach.
- Process invoices, provide quotes, and payment details accurately.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, service writer, parts advisor, technician, or customer service professional is an asset.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain automotive services in plain language.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repair processes.
- Positive attitude, professional appearance, and commitment to excellent customer service.
- Comfort using computers, scheduling systems, and service management software.
- Valid driver’s licence preferred.
