Torque's Diesel Inc. is expanding its underground mining division and is currently seeking experienced Underground Heavy Equipment Technicians for a long-term FIFO opportunity in Nunavut.
This position offers rotational work, competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to work alongside a professional team supporting a major Canadian mining operation.
Responsibilities
- Inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of underground mobile mining equipment
- Completion of preventative maintenance programs
- Hydraulic, electrical, drivetrain, engine, and diagnostic repairs
- Maintaining accurate service documentation
- Working safely and effectively within a production mining environment
Preferred Experience
Experience with the following equipment is considered a strong asset:
- Sandvik underground equipment
- MacLean underground equipment
- Underground drills and bolters
- LHDs and haulage equipment
- Underground support fleets
Qualifications
- Heavy Equipment Technician Certification (Red Seal preferred)
- Underground mining experience preferred
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism
