Role and Responsibilities:
We are currently hiring for a permanent, full-time Loan Support Officer to join our dynamic Lending Support team. Reporting to the Loan Support Supervisor, this role plays a critical part in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of loan servicing within the DNA banking system. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to upholding compliance and operational excellence. This position is eligible to work from any Prosperity Credit Union service location.
Join our team and make an operational impact as you:
Maintain Loan Integrity and Accuracy:
- Ensure accuracy of all loan-related data within the DNA system
- Perform quality checks on agricultural, commercial, and consumer loans to verify setup and compliance
- Manage loan committals and disbursements for agricultural and commercial loans, ensuring timely and accurate processing
- Set up, amend, and close Single Account Overdrafts (SAODs)
- Review and process non-mortgage loans that have been closed or paid in full
Complete Key Reporting and Reconciliation Tasks:
- Monitor and process daily, monthly, and annual loan reports (new loans, closed loans, daily batches, CAFT activity, outages, exceptions)
- Review and address loan rejects, file load errors, delinquent payments, and scheduled payment/file rejects
- Reconcile loan holding accounts and cost of credit refunds to ensure accuracy and compliance
Ensure Compliance and Support Regulatory Requirements:
- Process and reconcile CUMIS claims, refunds, and reports in a timely and accurate manner
- Manage payout requests and informal extensions for non-mortgage loans in line with policies and regulations
- Process PAT/PAD requests and support workflows in Valeyo and Criterion systems
- Maintain clear, indexed records and ensure documentation is properly filed for audit and compliance readiness
Support Member Service and Lending Operations:
- Provide back-end support to lending staff across the organization
- Respond to internal inquiries and loan documentation requests
- Post syndicated loan payments and manage related disbursements
- Support processing of letters of credit
- Monitor pending tasks and bring-forward items (e.g., monthly fee payments, yearly SAOD adjustments) to ensure continuity and accuracy of lending operations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education or related certifications considered an asset.
- Prior experience in financial services or lending operations is preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to maintaining data accuracy, compliance, and member confidentiality
- Strong communication skills and a member first mindset
