Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Disaster Restoration Crew Chief/Water Technician to join our emergency response team. This role involves leading restoration efforts following water damage, fire, or storm-related incidents. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cleaning, restoration, and construction processes, along with the ability to operate various power and hand tools.
As a Crew Chief, you will oversee on-site operations, coordinate team activities, and ensure high-quality service delivery to clients during stressful situations. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your skills directly impact community recovery and resilience. Alberta Drivers Lisence is a requirement.
As a Water Technician, you will undertake work in water damaged structures, executing IICRC protocols, and performing selective demolition and Remediation processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise restoration crews during water extraction, drying, and cleanup operations
- Assess damage sites and develop effective restoration plans in collaboration with project managers
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and construction equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform water extraction, structural drying, mold remediation, and debris removal
- Use hand tools and power tools for demolition and repair tasks as needed
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
- Communicate clearly with clients, team members, and management regarding job progress and issues
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and materials used
- Assist with training new team members on restoration techniques and equipment operation
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning, restoration, or construction fields preferred
- Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
- Knowledge of water damage restoration processes is a plus
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team under pressure
- Construction experience is desirable but not mandatory
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license required for site travel and equipment transportation
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends or after-hours emergencies as needed

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
