Role Overview
As a Skid Steer Operator, you will be responsible for preparing job sites for paving, ensuring precision and efficiency while maintaining Black Tar’s high-quality standards. You will play a critical role in delivering top-tier asphalt, concrete and interlock services, while maintaining a positive, professional attitude with both customers and teammates.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery to prepare driveways and parking lots for paving.
- Fine-grade gravel with a skid steer to ensure proper leveling.
- Work efficiently to manage time, projects, and equipment provided.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude with customers and coworkers.
- Ensure your machinery is properly maintained.
- Ensure site safety and adhere to Black Tar’s quality standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating a Skid Steer.
- Strong grading skills for fine-tuning gravel driveways and parking lots.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Calm under pressure, with a problem-solving mindset.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.
