Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead small group tutoring sessions with students aged 9–18, guiding discussions and answering questions.
- Use provided materials to deliver structured lessons, ensuring students understand SAT concepts.
- Apply effective teaching strategies and strong communication skills to build academic skills.
- Keep students engaged and motivated to take ownership of their learning.
- Provide clear, targeted feedback so parents can monitor progress.
- Support New Canadians in strengthening English language skills.
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages students to rise to the challenge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong communication skills and passion for learning
- Open to training and professional development
- Previous AP tutoring experience is an asset
Subjects
Tutors are only expected to teach the subject(s) in which they have expertise, it is not necessary to tutor all of the following subjects. Below is a list of all of the course subjects we offer:
- AP Biology
- AP Calculus (AB & BC)
- AP Chemistry
- AP Computer Science
- AP English Language
- AP Physics (A, B, and/or C)
- AP Psychology
Training
For tutors with related degree experience but not specifically AP tutoring experience, training and course material will be provided.
Start Date
September 8, 2026.
Work Hours
From September onward, classes are conducted between 4 – 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, with hours ranging from 4-20 per week subject to negotiation with the campus.
Locations
Five campuses are hiring AP tutors for the fall:
- Vancouver (1985 West Broadway Vancouver)
- Burnaby campus (4250 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC)
- Coquitlam (1024 Ridgeway Avenue)
- Richmond (8181 Cambie Road Richmond)
- North Vancouver (889 Harbourside Dr.)

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$50.00 per hour
