Reporting to the Directory of Supply Chain & Logistics Cement, the primary objective of the role is to lead all relevant performance analysis/reporting initiatives, in addition to supporting senior management in Lafarge’s continuous improvement initiatives. We strive to be world-class and this role is critical to supporting that goal.
This position works to develop best practice frameworks and processes focused towards standardization and relevancy of our supply chain activities. The role helps develop accurate Cement Reports, working closely with the modal and operational teams to effectively optimize profitability in all markets. In addition, this role assists Finance in developing our bi-weekly forecasts and month-end reporting processes.
This position also works with the Modal Coordinators/Mangers and Operations to provide assistance with the Contract management. This includes Purchase Order Administration, Accounts Payable follow-up and Reconciliation, and Payroll support.
Safety: Promotes a positive safety culture through leadership by example; performs all work activities following all relevant safety policies/procedures ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and critical success factors.
Performance Management: Development, management and reporting of relevant key performance indicators to drive performance of the cement team. Participate in studies to identify opportunities for improvement and puts actions plans together to achieve them with the goal to improve the operational and financial effectiveness of the division.
Reporting: Works with the Supply Chain and Logistics team to drive the implementation and tracking of key performance indicators and measures. Provides monthly reports and updates to assist with the month end processes while also developing insight to challenge the teams progress against key performance indicators.
Process Improvement: Works with the Supply Chain and Logistics Team to drive for efficiency and optimization of the supply network and the management thereof.
Management Cycle: Works closely with the management team to develop and incorporate standard processes/deliverables as part of our ongoing management cycle and strategy review processes. This includes Supply/Demand Plans, Freight Replenishment Plans, Strategic Framework, Rate Benchmarking and Review, Performance Plans, Budgets and Forecasts.
Analysis: Creates and implements continuous improvement initiatives as well as performing detailed business and data analysis to support decision making.
Contract Administration: Supports the team in the management of Contracts including Purchase Order Administration, Accounts Payable follow-up/reconciliations and Payroll support.
Assist the team with ad hoc analysis as required.
Relationship with Others
Supports Transportation Managers and Coordinators by providing assistance with systems and analysis of their costs and movements.
Works closely with the Sales, Marketing and Freight Analysts to ensure alignment and avoid duplicating tasks while maintaining a common platform of data accurately and up-to-date.
Works closely with Logistics Teams to deliver a consistent message and drive standardization.
Works closely with the Finance Team in providing standard reporting on a monthly basis by segment as well as during the budget and planning processes.
Provides support to the Senior team with the analysis and presentations regarding the Cement product line business.
Provides support to the Modal Managers and Coordinators with respect to purchase orders and accounts payable follow-up.
Provides support for the Terminal Management with payroll, purchase orders and accounts payable follow-up.
Accurate tracking and reporting of KPIs
Process improvement & standardization of logistics reporting
Setup of purchase orders and reconciliation processes
Identify cost savings and supply chain opportunities
Ability to use research and analytical tools and methodologies
Ad Hoc projects to assist the Logistics team
Analyze of total spend of $110 M and 2.8 M tons of product movements
Educational & Experience
Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
French speaking/writing language skills are an asset
Knowledge of optimization software and asset
Cost Control/ Process Improvement
Maintain Process Orientation
