The Early Years Supervisor provides day-to-day leadership and oversight of the Okanagan Mission YMCA Childcare Centre, ensuring the delivery of exceptional early learning and care programs. This position supports educators, children, and families while maintaining compliance with licensing regulations, YMCA standards, and best practices in early childhood education.

Provide leadership and oversight to the daily operations of the child care centre while supporting children, families, and educators.
- Lead and support a team of Early Childhood Educators in delivering high-quality child care programming.
- Ensure compliance with childcare licensing regulations, YMCA policies, and health and safety standards.
- Create a welcoming, inclusive, and positive environment for children, families, staff, and community partners.
- Support staff recruitment, onboarding, coaching, scheduling, and performance development.
- Foster positive relationships and effective communication with families regarding children's development and program participation.
- Monitor program quality and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure accurate record keeping and documentation in accordance with licensing and organizational requirements.
- Support budget management, resource allocation, and operational planning as directed.
- Address operational challenges and support effective problem-solving within the centre.
- Champion YMCA values, policies, and child safeguarding practices.
- Current Early Childhood Education and Infant Toddler or Special Needs certification
- Valid BC ECE License to Practice
- A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership skills
- Must have current First Aid Certification - CPR C or willingness to obtain
- Drivers License is required (mileage is compensated) and Class 4 license is considered an asset
