Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Sandblaster to join our Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cleaning metal surfaces using sandblasting techniques to ensure high-quality finishes. This role requires mechanical aptitude, familiarity with hand and power tools, and the ability to operate various machinery safely. Duties
- Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare metal surfaces for finishing or assembly
- Set up and adjust machinery according to project specifications, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed for surface preparation or minor repairs
- Assist with material handling using devices to move heavy components safely
- Perform basic maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and minimize waste
- Conduct quality inspections of finished surfaces to meet company standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines at all times
Experience
- Prior experience in metal finishing is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation and maintenance is highly desirable
- Familiarity with heavy equipment
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, Ability to work safely around industrial equipment while maintaining attention to detail
