Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Orthotic Technician / PTA to join our healthcare team at MYO. This role involves assisting in the fabrication and fitting of orthotic devices, supporting patient care, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and comfort. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes through precise craftsmanship and compassionate service.
Duties
- Assist in the measurement, fabrication, and fitting of custom orthotic devices tailored to individual patient needs as assessed by a Certified Pedorthist
- Prepare materials and tools required for orthotic production, ensuring cleanliness and proper maintenance
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to interpret prescriptions and treatment plans accurately
- Educate patients on the proper use, care, and maintenance of their orthotic devices
- Maintain detailed records of patient interactions, device specifications, and fabrication processes
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health regulations, and quality standards throughout production and fitting procedures
- Support inventory management by tracking supplies and ordering materials as needed
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to orthopedics and rehabilitation
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail in crafting precise orthotic devices
- Ability to interpret prescriptions from healthcare professionals accurately
- Good communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
- Prior experience with orthotic fabrication or related technical skills is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
